The "Light & airy" look is a very popular style and because of this it has been pushed beyond limits by many photographers. Instead of stopping at a point where the image is beautifully balanced they push on and blow out highlights and wash out blacks - not a good look and definitely not ideal for printing.

I love the style when done with a little restraint giving a wonderful ethereal summery look but retaining definition, velvety blacks and radiant skin tones.

I was shooting like this for some clients in the early 2000's and although I often shoot in the style you can see elsewhere on this site I absolutely love to shoot light & airy if the conditions allow.
