I'm a huge fan of outdoor and location shooting for both headshots and portraits for comp cards etc.

Space, colours, and textures of the real world give us a cinematic quality and an easy spontaneity which is impossible to capture in the studio. It's also a lot of fun shooting in different environments.

I do enjoy shooting in one of the natural-light studios I use either in addition to outdoor / location work or when the weather is unfavourable but I would always go for shooting outside the studio given the choice.

London is so full of fantastic photography locations either outdoors or under cover that you can scarcely go anywhere without opportunities for unique and sparkling images presenting themselves.
